Shipping update - where oh where is Lily?

Dear friends -
Many of you are wondering where oh where our dear Lily could be, quite understandably. We wish we had a definite answer as to when the books + dolls will be able to ship - the short answer is that we still hope to be able to fulfill in (early) December, but the details remain fuzzy.
Customs keep us very much in the dark until they release our shipment, and because of the delays at ports of entry due to covid, that timeline is still uncertain. Realistically, it could take another 2 to 5 weeks for customs to release our goods and everything to arrive at the warehouse. We are hoping that it will be on the shorter side! Our fulfillment team is ready to hit the ground running as soon as everything arrives, and we are still very much hoping that we will be able to ship everything out to you in December, in time for the holidays.
We are so incredibly sorry if this is adding extra stress to your holiday season, this is the last thing we want. We feel the full weight of it, as all these shipping delays + increases in shipping overseas costs since we completed our kickstarter campaign are putting our small business in a less than ideal position this holiday season. We appreciate all the patience and kindness you have shown as we hit our first delay in 4 kickstarter campaigns... we truly couldn't do what we do without your support - especially during this difficult year.
As our team get ready for fulfillment, we will be closing up pre-orders and backer surveys in one week. If you need to make any changes to your shipping address, you can still do so via your survey link - email [email protected] if you need help finding your survey link. Our pre-order store will be open until Monday 11/15 before we also lock that to prepare for fulfillment.
Thanks again for your patience. We will next send an update as soon as we know that the books and dolls are being release from the port of entry.

Update on Shipping: Here's the great news: The books and dolls are nearly on their way to us! We can't way to share them with you and the kiddos in your life.
And the not-so-great news: As you may have heard, the world of freight is a fright right now. Because of the pandemic, overseas freight and shipping has become increasingly difficult over the past few months, both in cost and delays. As much as we tried to plan for it, the situation has impacted our timeline. We are doing everything we can to move boats and barges to get Lily to you by the holidays. At this point, we are hoping that everything arrives at our warehouse by late November and we will be able to start shipping right away. This all depends on how quickly our shipment clear customs, which is always tricky to get updates about. Thanks for hanging in there with us, we will be sure to keep you updated along the way.
And One Change: During production we hit another unexpected issue. As we learned with this book, everything that gets printed in China has to get a print release from the Chinese government - regardless of whether it is sold there or not. We've never had issues in the past, but with this project, our maps were flagged and the Chinese government asked us to remove most of the maps. This request baffled us, our printer and our production manager. Our team did our best to explore our options, including trying to get our books printed outside of China, but in the end, staying with our printer was the best option, so we adapted the original map content with some fun surprises. And you'll still get the maps! We know many of you use Lily's country maps for home studies, so we will make them available as a free download when the book releases.
Surveys + ApplePay Issue: If you haven't filled out your survey, please do as soon as possible so our fulfillment team can start getting ready to ship as soon as we receive everything. If you haven't received the BackerKit survey yet, please let us know. There is a glitch in the system with ApplePay, and we need to update your email to resend the survey. Comment here or send us an email at [email protected]. And if you know anyone who missed the Kickstarter, here is the link to the pre-order store.

Hi friends!
We have good news! After some strange all-nighters involving too many 90s ballads, the book is at the printer! We can't wait to share some more updates with you as things progress. Stay tuned for another update in September.
Shipping Surveys: You should have all received an email from BackerKit, so we can get your addresses. Please fill that out so we can send you all your goodies this fall. Let us know if you have any issues or questions.
Add-Ons: If you've been losing sleep realizing you should have ordered another doll, stress no more! You'll be able to add-on extra books, dolls, and some other brand-new Lily products, including fun prints + sticker packs with the patches from the Worldwide book.
We will keep you updated as we get closer to shipping, but for now, Adventure On!

Dear backers,
We hope you all had a lovely summer. Quick update from us to say that backer surveys will go out to your emails next week. Be on the lookout for an email from us via BACKERKIT then! A few of you emailed us to ask about add-ons as well, and the answer is YES: when you fill out your backer surveys you will have the opportunity to choose extra exclusive add-ons - extra books, dolls, prints, luggage tags etc.
We will also share a project update with you all when the surveys are out. If you have any questions, don't hesitate reaching out.
We can't wait to send the new Lily Huckleberry books (and dolls!) your way.

Hello friends!
It was a crazy month indeed! We are blown away by your excitement for this project and are thrilled to share that with your help we raised $62,465 and unlocked ALL of our stretch goals: Stickers! Postcards! Donated Books! World Map Posters!
If you've been with us from the beginning or are just joining in the fun, we are incredibly grateful for this community.
What's next?
We are working hard finishing the book and getting it ready to send to the printer! In the next few weeks, you will get an email from BackerKit - which is a survey to collect your addresses, so don't ignore it or we can't send your package ;) (Note: If you are planning on moving between now and the fall, you can wait to fill out your survey until we get closer to shipping.) In the survey, everyone will be able to add on brand new Lily products and extra items to your reward.
As we get updated on production, we will be sure to keep you in the loop!
